Each location has a parent committee. Parents’ committee members think with us and advise us on the running of the children’s centre.
The parents’ committee advises and organises
The law stipulates that parents’ committees may give advice (solicited and unsolicited) on a number of matters in childcare. These include, for instance, the pedagogical policy, the nutrition policy and the rates. The parents’ committee also helps organise activities.
The parent committees at Little Jungle childcare meet at least three times a year in the central parent committee to advise the management. More specific matters per location are discussed by the ‘own’ decentralised parents’ committee.
